USF Dermatology shows strong at state meeting
USF Health was the in the spotlight at the recent annual meeting for the Florida Society of Dermatology Surgeons, held Nov. 3 in Palm Beach, FL.
Neil Fenske, MD, professor and chairman of the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery in the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, was named Surgeon of the Year, a prestigious award given by the FSDS. Dr. Fenske was presented with the award by a former graduate of the USF dermatology residency program, Davis Harvey, MD.
At this same meeting, current USF Health dermatology residents presented four research papers, two of which won awards. Second place was Nicole Howe, MD, whose paper is titled “Sunlight Exposure and Cutaneous Human Papillomavirus Seroreactivity in Basal Cell and Squamous Cell Carcinomas of the Skin,” and third place was Hoka Nyanda-Manalo, MD, whose paper is titled “Verrcous lymphatic malformations in klippel trenaunay syndrome.”
