Dr. Ista Pulu is visiting from Roing, India, where he is the only OB/GYN for a region serving 25 tribal villages. The area which Dr. Pulu serves is a large moun-tainous region with almost impassable terrain and poor resources. He is also part of an international collaboration between USF and the Research Institute of World's Ancient Traditions Cultures and Heritage (RIWATCH). He is giv-ing a presentation about Maternal and Child health challenges in a remote Him-alayan mountain setting. The presentation is co-sponsored by the Colleges of Public Health, Pharmacy, Medicine, The USF Office of International affairs, and The Asian Alliance of USF. A small dessert reception will follow the presentation in the COPH lobby.
