contributed to a department‐level health literacy initiative and the Healthy People 2010 objectives progress review
process.
•Appointed to the National Academy of Sciences Committee on Oral Health Initiative (2010)
Dr. Alice Horowitz, a nationally renowned scholar in health literacy, will be presenting her research on how health
literacy is applied to a variety of health outcomes, specifically those related to oral health.
