Dr. Dean's hyperbaric chamber research featured in St. Petersburg Times
The hyperbaric neurophysiology research of Jay Dean, PhD, professor in molecular pharmacology and physiology, was highlighted Sept. 9 in a front page story in the St. Petersburg Times Floridian section. Dr. Dean’s brain cell research using hyperbaric chambers has numerous potential health applications — everything from better wound healing techniques and understanding sleep apnea to treating cardiovascular disease, diabetes and Parkinson’s and prolonging life.
The article includes photos of Dr. Dean and his postdoctoral fellow Dominic D’Agostino in the hyperbaric laboratory. USF Health faculty members Dr. Enrico Camporisi, Dr. Lisa Gould and Dr. Paula Bickford commented on their interest in Dr. Dean’s oxygen research.
