    USF Nursing students make a difference in community health overseas

    For most students, summertime is filled with lots of fun, beach, travel and fewer classes. However, nursing students at University of South Florida are staying busy overseas making a difference in community health.     USF Nursing students make a difference in community health in Chitre, Panama

    University of South Florida College of Nursing faculty and 28 students traveled to Chitre, Panama for a two-week Community/Public Health Nursing Clinical Abroad trip in summer 2013.     Nursing student, Falon Blessing, honored with USF Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate Award

    College of Nursing undergraduate student, Falon Blessing, received the University of South Florida Summer 2013 Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate Award for demonstrating exceptional achievements in leadership, community service, work experience, and school spirit while completing her degree at USF. Blessing is an undergraduate senior student majoring in nursing with a minor in public health. She expects to graduate with a bachelor’s degree on Aug. 10, 2013.     University of South Florida College of Nursing began partnership discussions with University of Stirling in Scotland over a video conference on April 25, 2013.     The University of South Florida College of Nursing Dean and Senior Associate Vice President of USF Health, Dianne Morrison-Beedy, PhD, RN, WHNP-BC, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN, was appointed Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Nursing at the Burapha University in Thailand.
