23rd Annual Social Marketing Conference

The University of South Florida Social Marketing Conference enters its 23rd year with a renewed commitment to social marketing‘s robust capacity to influence complex social problems.  This year’s theme, “Fostering Equity: Social Marketing’s Role and Responsibility,” reflects pressing contemporary issues. Application of social marketing has earned success across many fields including public health, healthcare, environmental studies, engineering, education, and not-for -profit management.

The Training Academy

The world famous Training Academy uses an entertaining mixture of live case studies and interactive group exercises to help you understand how to increase the impact of behavioral change projects by:

1. Focusing on the right audiences;

2. Maximizing research efforts;

3. Developing sustainable solutions; and

4. Mobilizing the support and resources needed to deliver a successful project.

 

The Main Conference

The Main Conference offers a blend of plenary presentations by internationally recognized social marketing experts on topics of interest to learners at all levels. Concurrent sessions, both invited and selected from responses to the ‘Call for Abstracts,’ supplement the agenda with case studies of social marketing applications in a variety of settings and new developments in the field. These sessions are balanced between introductory and more advanced audiences. The specific topics and speakers are selected to elaborate on key elements of the social marketing approach and to illustrate opportunities to apply social marketing.

The USF College of Public Health is the parent organization for the Social Marketing Group, manager of of the Social Marketing Conference and other training initiatives.  Their mission is to help public sector organizations effectively apply social marketing in order to improve health outcomes and life circumstances.

The Department of Community and Family Health is the academic home for the Social Marketing Group.  The department offers more than 10 concentrations that lead to MPH, MSPH, DrPH, and PhD degrees, as well as dual degrees, special programs, and an online graduate certificate in social marketing.
