• Alan Card receives grant from the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management

    Alan J. Card, MPH, CPH, CPHQ, is president and CEO of Evidence-Based Health Solutions, LLC.  He recently received a $100,000 research grant from the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM) to investigate the effectiveness of the Active Risk Control (ARC) Toolkit.

    The Toolkit, which Card developed as part of his dissertation research at the University of Cambridge, is intended to improve the ability of healthcare organizations to design and implement robust solutions to identified risks—especially in the area of patient safety.  Organizations interested in participating should send an e-mail to alan.j.card@gmail.com.

    Alan Card earned a master of public health degree in global health from the University of South Florida. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate at the University of Cambridge.  Mr. Card is studying in health service design & risk management in the Department of Engineering.
