Dr. Jaime Sanchez joins the Morsani College of Medicine
Jaime Sanchez, MD, MSPH is an assistant professor with the Morsani College of Medicine. He is assigned to the Department of Surgery’s Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
Dr. Sanchez has special clinical interest in colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, anorectal disorders including incontinence, reconstructive pelvic surgery, and minimally Invasive and robotic surgery. His research includes 3D anatomical modeling and navigation, natural orifice and endoscopic surgery, as well as many aspects of colon and rectal surgery.
A graduate of the University of South Florida, Dr. Sanchez earned a master of science degree in tropical public health and a doctor of medicine. He completed his general surgery residency, as well as an accredited fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at USF. In addition, he dedicated an extra year to a surgical research fellowship during his residency.
