Jill Sears placed second in state-wide poster competition
Jill Sears, a graduate student at the University of South Florida College of Public Health, placed second in the Florida Air & Waste Management Association’s Graduate Student Poster competition. The event was held in conjunction with the Association’s annual conference and exhibition on October 14-16 in Crystal River.
Ms. Sears presented a poster titled “The Impacts of Urban Forestry on Transportation Pollutant Reductions.” The poster highlighted her thesis research under the mentorship of Amy Stuart, PhD, an associate professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health.
Ms. Sears is earning a master of science degree in public health from the University of South Florida College of Public Health. Her concentration is environmental health.
