  • Transforming Women’s Health: Discovery, Development & Delivery of the Oral-Systemic Connection Conference

    The Center for Transdisciplinary Research on Women’s Health hosts the 2nd “Transforming Women’s Health: Discovery, Development & Delivery of the Oral-Systemic Connection Conference” on January 26- 27 in Tampa. The Center is affiliated with the University of South Florida College of Public Health.

    This conference offer participants the opportunity to learn and discuss cutting-edge and evidence-based research and practice initiatives in women’s oral-systemic health. In addition, this conference facilitates dialogue among multi-disciplinary providers and researchers (i.e., medicine, dentistry, nursing, public health, etc.) and explores potential channels and strategies for increased provision of collaborative care across the lifespan.

    Specific topics to be addressed include:

    • HPV related oral conditions
    • Oral health and autoimmune diseases
    • Women’s health as it pertains to the Affordable Health Care Act
