Dr. Henian Chen earns women’s health grant
An interdisciplinary research team including Henian Chen, MD, PhD, is one of four groups awarded seed grant money from the USF Health Office of Women’s Health for 2013-2014.
“The intent of the grant offering is to develop faculty research collaboration across USF Health and other USF colleges on a subject related to women’s health,” said Catherine M. Lynch, MD, associate vice president for Women’s Health and Faculty Development.
“Exploratory Study Examining Variables Related to the Outcomes within an Interdisciplinary Tertiary Eating Disorder Program” is the group’s focus. The research team includes: Dr. Chen, associate professor of biostatistics, USF College of Public Health; Sadaf Aslam, assistant professor, Morsani College of Medicine, Kevin Thompson, professor, USF College of Arts and Sciences; and Denise Edwards, assistant professor, Morsani College of Medicine.
