Dr. James McCluskey investigates health issues at Lamarque Elementary School

The students and staff at Lamarque Elementary School are getting sick. The school smells and administrators are puzzled as to why.

James McCluskey

James McCluskey, MD, PhD, an assistant professor in USF’s College of Public Health, is a hired consultant examining the reported issues. He specializes in the health effects of particulate exposures and was featured in a Herald-Tribune article exploring what could be plaguing the Nort Port (Florida) school.

The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health is Dr. McCluskey’s academic home and offers several concentrations that lead to MPH, MSPH, DrPH, and PhD degrees. Most recently, they launched an online MPH in health, safety, and environment.
