Heather Williamson and Jennifer Marshall present in Washington, DC

Heather Williamson, MBA, and Jennifer Marshall, MPH, graduate students at the University of South Florida College of Public Health, presented research at the Association of University Centers for Disabilities (AUCD) Conference.  The meetings were held in Washington, DC on December 2-5.

Williamson’s presentation was entitled “Home and Community Based Services Waiver: Existing Evaluations Measuring Family Quality of Life” and Marshall’s “The family experiences survey for parents of children with Down syndrome in Florida.”

While in town, the ladies made the rounds on Capitol Hill. They advocated senatorial support and U.S. ratification of the international convention on the rights of persons with disabilities.

Ms. Williamson is a doctoral student and Ms. Marshall is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Community and Family Health.
