Kimberly Conner is happy to go with the flow.

Kim Conner

This spring, Conner embarked on a field experience with Wellcare in Tampa. She was totally content working with projects related to Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act, then along came a query …

A recruiter on LinkedIn liked her profile. She accepted an invitation to apply for an open position, interviewed, and was faced with a predicament—stay with Wellcare and hope for an offer or wrap up her field experience early and begin a new phase in life.

As of April 8, Conner is a compliance research analyst for MidAmerica Administrative & Retirement Solutions. In this capacity, she advises education employers (school districts, university systems, etc.) on health plan compliance with the Affordable Care Act.

Ms. Kimberly Conner is earning a master’s degree with a concentration in health policies and programs. She graduates from the University of South Florida College of Public Health in May.
