| FPQC

The FPQC is proud to have the Director of the California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative (CPQCC) – Jeffrey B. Gould, MD, MPH – as a key speaker at our Annual Conference on March 21st and 22nd in Tampa, FL.

Dedicating himself for more than 40 years to improving health outcomes of mothers and infants through data-driven quality improvement (QI) initiatives, Dr. Gould – as a neonatologist and epidemiologist – is known today as one of the most highly regarded leaders, researchers, educators and innovators in the field of Maternal and Child Health. In 2006, he received the National MCH Epidemiology Outstanding Leadership Award for his significant contributions to the field.

As the Director of the CPQCC, Dr. Gould currently oversees a network of 127 California hospitals that are conducting QI initiatives for mothers and their newborns through the voluntary submission and comparison of uniform care processes and outcome data. The CPQCC is recognized as the most established perinatal quality collaborative in the nation today with ten demonstrated QI toolkits, including one with protocols for the use of antenatal steroids.

Dr. Gould’s two Thursday sessions – “Antenatal Steroids: Opportunities and Challenges” and “Sustainable Perinatal Quality Improvement: Opportunities and Challenges” – will be invaluable for all perinatal health-related practitioners and professionals who want to advance the health care quality of Florida’s mothers and babies.
