The PCIS application, which includes Allscripts Electronic Health Record and GE Centricity Business, will be unavailable from
7:00 pm on Friday, December 14th until Saturday, December 15th at 10:00 pm.

Please note the following:

For clinics seeing patients during this downtime period, manual procedures must be put in place.

There continues to be upgrade activity required for the GE Centricity Business Practice Management server in an effort to strengthen our Disaster Recovery platform. Because both our practice management system and our electronic health record (Allscripts) are integrated as one system we are required to restrict access to the entire PCIS application during any upgrade.

We are making every effort to reduce the hours of downtime which are required by our vendors to perform upgrades in the PCIS system.

VMWare will be down beginning Saturday, November 10 at 9pm as the system receives an upgrade to the latest release of code.

The upgrade includes backing up the vCenter database. Then installing the new version of vCenter server. After that the Esxi hosts one at a time to upgrade each to 5.1. The final step will be updating VMware tools on all of the View desktops.

This upgrade includes a new version of VMware tools, so all View pools will need to be recomposed afterwards. View pools will be unavailable during the upgrade. There will be no change in what the user sees afterwards.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

            Please note the following:

For clinics seeing patients during this downtime period, manual procedures must be put in place.

There continues to be upgrade activity required for the GE Centricity Business Practice Management System in an effort to prepare us later for ICD10. Because both our practice management system and our electronic health record (Allscripts) are integrated as one system we are required to restrict access to the entire PCIS application during any upgrade.

New desktop controls are being deployed to all workstations this week. Laptops will update the next time they log into the system after the upgrade is complete.
