Conference Overview

The mission of Students With Diabetes is to develop young leaders with T1D to become catalyst changers in the diabetes community. The Students With Diabetes National Conference introduces young adults living with T1D to cutting edge diabetes research, new treatment options in diabetes, and information about young adulthood and diabetes.

The Students With Diabetes National Conference is a unique opportunity for young adults with T1D between the ages of 18-30ish and their significant others in the same age range.

About Students With Diabetes

Students With Diabetes ( is dedicated to creating a community and connection point for young adults with diabetes ages 18-30 on both college campuses and in local communities across the country.  The national network includes education, programs and opportunities for young adults living with diabetes to facilitate their transition into this life stage and help foster personal, social and professional development to ensure a successful life with diabetes.  Students With Diabetes was created by Nicole Johnson, DrPH, MPH, MA and Miss America 1999, and is a Diabetes Empowerment Foundation Program.
