Two from USF Health named 2012 Health Care Heroes

Two phenomenal people from USF Health were recognized recently for their good work when they were named 2012 Health Care Heroes by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Michael Flannery, MD, professor of medicine for the Morsani College of Medicine, won in the Judge’s Choice category for his tireless work in being a mentor and teacher to future physicians.

Dianne Morrison-Beedy, PhD, FAAN, dean of the College of Nursing, won in the Health Care Educator category for her endless efforts to improve nursing education.

Both were recognized at an awards dinner last week at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club in St. Petersburg.
