USF Health’s Dr. Musolino elected president of education for national physical therapy group

Gina Marie Musolino PT, MSEd, EdD, associate professor in the USF Health School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, was recently elected president of the executive committee for the Education Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

The APTA Education Section supports patient and professional education efforts for its members across the country, as well as networking and professional development.

Dr. Musolino is the third faculty member from the USF Health School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences to be elected to nationally prominent offices. The others are Dr. Dolly Swisher with the Central Panel of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, and Dr. William Quillen with American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education, which impacts education and residency and fellowship training in physical therapy.

Dr. Musolino’s term began May 15.
