COPH alum Isabella Chan earns award for applied anthropology research

Isabella Chan, a doctoral student in the USF College of Public Health, received the 2013 Peter K. New Student Research Award for her research into the health policies for the Peruvian Highlands.

Chan, who graduated from USF in December with a master’s degree in public health, was presented with the award at the annual meeting in March for the Society for Applied Anthropology, the group that sponsored the award.

Chan received $2,000, an engraved Baccarat crystal trophy, is featured on the SfAA website and may have her paper published in the journal Human Organization
