Dr. Russell Kirby earns MacQueen Award from Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs

USF Health maternal and child health expert Russell Kirby, PhD, MS, was recently awarded the 2015 John C. MacQueen Award from the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs.


Dr. Kirby, USF Distinguished Professor and the Marrell Endowed Chair in the Department of Community and Family Health in the USF College of Public Health, earned the award for his contributions to maternal and child health issues, specifically his work in the epidemiology of birth defects and developmental disabilities as well as on risk factors for adverse pregnancy outcomes.

As part of the award, Dr. Kirby will present the keynote lecture at the group’s annual meeting, held January 26 in Washington, DC.
