Dr. Dawn Schocken named fellow of national simulation academy

USF Health’s Dawn Schocken, PhD, was recently named a fellow in the Society for Simulation in Healthcare Academy.

Dr. Schocken, director of Experiential Learning and Simulation for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, was one of only 15 individuals selected from around the world through a competitive nomination and selection process.

Academy fellows are selected from practitioners, researchers, administrators, clinicians, operations specialists and educators who have built a strong foundation in the discipline of simulation. Fellows of the SSH Academy are a group of leaders and renowned simulationists who have made outstanding and sustained contributions to the field of healthcare simulation.

Dr. Schocken will be inducted at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare in January in San Diego, CA.
