MCOM staff member recognized as Culture Champion

Seema Martinez, MCOM Office of Educational Affairs office manager.

Moving an entire medical school takes an extraordinary amount of planning and coordination, that can take months to execute.  There are an infinite number of moving parts and details that must be handled.  This responsibility fell on the shoulders of Seema Martinez, USF Health Morsani College of Medicine Office of Educational Affairs office manager, during the historic move of the medical school from the main campus to downtown Tampa.  Bryan Bognar, MD, MPH, FACP, MCOM vice dean and chair of the Department of Medical Education, recognized Martinez’s efforts during this transition period as such: “During the entire move process to our new downtown home, Seema has been the very embodiment of our USF Health culture.  She demonstrated unwavering professionalism, passion, grit, accountability and caring in every aspect of this monumental project. She took great pains in capturing and managing every detail.  We are so fortunate to have her in our MCOM family.”  Bognar recognized Martinez as a culture champion and presented her with a USF Health Culture Coin Jan. 23.
