SPTRS professor recognized as culture champion

Wendy Herbert, PT, PhD, associate professor at the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences in the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine.

Wendy Herbert, PT, PhD, associate professor at the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences in the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine, was recently recognized as a culture champion by SPTRS director Douglas Haladay, PT, DPT, PhD, MHS, OCS, CSCS.  She is known for working with the DPT students who oversee the USF Health BRIDGE Clinic to help reimagine their processes, services and overall PT clinic.  She has continuously provided guidance and leadership to the students, engaged many local community partners and alumni to help oversee the clinic as preceptors for the students.

“Our school and students were fortunate that Dr. Herbert has stepped up to help them with BRIDGE Clinic, and that she along with students have been able to improve the clinic for the patients and the student experience.  Her involvement in the clinic goes beyond her typical responsibilities with the school and continues our faculty mission of service to the profession and our communities,” Dr. Haladay said.

She received a USF Health Culture Coin during a small ceremony earlier this Spring.
