Do you feel like your skin needs a “pick-me-up” before the holidays? It is time to start NOW. We are excited to announce our new Micro Re-texturizing treatment designed to smooth skin, tighten pores, reduce scarring and give your skin the healthy glow you are looking for before the holidays.

What does Micro Re-texturizing treat?

We use Micro Re-texturing to treat a variety of conditions including acne scarring, stretch marks, uneven texture, large pores, fine lines, and scars. This treatment is best known for it’s ability to restore a youthful healthy glow to the skin and smooth out your texture.

What is Micro Re-texturizing?

Micro Re-texturizing can also be referred to as “microneedling” or “collagen induction therapy”. It is a procedure that uses very fine needles to create small injuries into the skin. By creating these small injuries we stimulate your skin’s natural healing response triggering new collagen. This results in tighter, smoother, healthier looking skin. This can be performed on different areas of the body and may be used in combination with specialty products that can be delivered into these small injuries in your skin to enhance your results.

How many treatments do you need?

The number of treatments varies per patient and is determined by your cosmetic provider. However, most patients need 3-4 treatments spaced 4weeks apart.

What is the procedure like?

During your appointment your cosmetic provider will assess the treatment area to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure. A topical numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment for about 30 minutes. The procedure is usually well tolerated by patients and take about 20 minutes to perform. During the procedure you feel a gel on your face and a slight vibrating feeling as the different areas are treated. Immediately after the procedure you can be very red and inflamed.

What will I need to do after the procedure?

Following the procedure, you may experience swelling and redness in the area for up to 5 days. It is not uncommon for this to be the worst in the first 24-48 hours. Your skin will feel very dry during the healing process. Your cosmetic provider will provide you product recommendations and specific post treatment instructions that will make the healing process a smooth transition to your new healthy skin.
