Dr. Donna Petersen tells The Times to do what you love
Without question, life is short. So, why waste time doing something you don’t enjoy?
‘If you love what you do, you just do it’ says, Donna Petersen, ScD, MHS, CPH, dean of the USF College of Public Health and interim senior vice president for USF Health.
She recently spoke with The Tampa Times about her passion for public health, juggling two jobs, planning a December wedding, and, of course, the Affordable Care Act.
The Department of Global Health is Dr. Petersen’s academic home. The department offers more than 10 concentrations that lead to MPH, MSPH, DrPH, and PhD degrees, as well several dual degrees, graduate certificates, and special programs. Most recently, Global Health added an online master of public health degree in infection control to its academic offerings.
