COPH Student Chosen as Gates Millennium Scholar

Monica Adams is a MPH student here at USF COPH. She is a wife and a mother of two children. In 2005, during her senior year in high school, Monica was chosen to be a Gates Millennium Scholar. The Gates Millennium Scholarship is an award that pays the cost of unmet need for undergraduate degree (up to 5 years), Masters degree (2 years), and PhD program (3 years) in the following graduate programs: computer science, education, engineering, library science, mathematics, public health and the sciences. COPH Students Present at USF Postdoctoral Research Colloquium

Four College of Public Health students recently made presentations at USF”s Inaugural Postdoc Research Colloquium on Friday, November 18, 2011. Alexais LaCrue was chosen to make an oral presentation at the colloquium.  Anupam Pradhan, Anuradha Srivastava and Rajeev Tyagi presented posters and/or papers. Congratulations to our students as well as all others who were chosen to participate in this event!

More than twenty COPH faculty, staff, alumni and graduate/undergraduate students participated in the Great American Teach In this year. Upcoming Service Events for USF COPH Students

Wednesday , November 30th, 5:30 pm – 8 pm.  Festive Fall Dinner at the Hope  Lodge! Come join other USF Health students for a fun evening with the residents at the American Cancer Society’s Benjamin Mendick Hope Lodge who are being  treated for cancer at Moffitt and other area hospitals.
