F.A.I.R. Family Abilities Information Rally – 10/1/11

Saturday, October 1st, 9:30 am – 2pm.  The F.A.I.R.: Family Abilities Information Rally  – A Cross Disabilities Event at All Peoples Life Center. USF Health students can talk with kids about health careers at  our own USF Health mini-teach-in table and   lead some of the  activities for kids!   (e.g. bowling, wheelchair obstacle course, hula hoops and even a  handwashing  collage!)    See also http://www.thefair.info/ . I’m Too Good for Drugs Walk & Kidfest – 10/1/11

Saturday, October 1st , 8 am – 12 noon.   “I’m Too Good for Drugs Walk & Kidfest” at MOSI. Fall Fitness & Safety Fest at The Spring Rescheduled

Rescheduled from last week due to rain!  Thursday, September  29th, 5:45 pm- 7:30 pm.  Fall Fitness & Safety Fest at the Spring !  (See also  http://www.thespring.org/). USF Health students can lead kids in a variety of fun and   safe   fitness  and  crafts  activities   and a safety scavenger hunt!  The Spring will provide  the refreshments, and we will provide the  activities for the kids!  Please sign  up  with Tina  Fiorelli, tfiorell@health.usf.edu with the Association of Medical Science Graduate Students (AMSGS).

COPH Students Volunteer at Walkathon

This past Friday, September 23rd, a number of our COPH undergrad and graduate students volunteered with medical and nursing students at the Sulphur Springs family walkathon/health expo. Air Force Public Health Officer Info Session Canceled

Due to a change in recruiting priorities for this year, the Air Force Public Health Officer Info Session scheduled for September 27 at 3:30pm in the COPH has been cancelled.  It will be offered in the spring with a focus on recruitment for ’12-’13.  However, if you are graduating in ’11-’12 and are interested in learning more, contact Natalie D. Preston-Washington, Manager of Career Development and Field Placement, directly and she will forward your contact information to the recruiter.
