Professor Wil Milhous has been elected to the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene Inaugural Class 2011 of Fellows – FASTMH. Fellow member status (FASTMH) is an honor recognizing sustained professional excellence in tropical medicine and global health.  Milhous is a thirty year member of the Society, Founder and Co-Chair of the ASTMH Committee on Global Health, and is past recipient of the  ASTMH LePrince Medal for outstanding work in the field of malariology, as well as the Ashford Medal for distinguished work in tropical medicine.

  Dr. Laurence Branch received the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Aging and Public Health and Gerontology through research, service, and teaching in their lifetime.  The award was presented on Monday, November 8 during the Awards Session at the annual APHA meeting in Denver, Colorado.  Congratulations, Dr. Branch!
