EOH Graduate Students Present at Meeting

The Environmental and Occupational Health (EOH) graduate students, Samantha Fridh, Ryan Michael, and Haofei Yu presented their research at the 2011 international meeting of the Air and Waste Management Association, held the week of June 21st in Orlando, Florida.  Ms. Fridh and Mr. Yu also received recognition in the student poster competition for their work.  Ms. Fridh won 2nd place in the MS student competition for her poster, titled “A spatial investigation of highly resolved environmental benzene concentrations using passive sampling”.  Mr. Yu won 3rd place in PhD student competition, for his poster titled “The spatial distribution of nitrogen oxides in Hillsborough County, FL with implications for the social distribution of exposures”.  Mr. Michael presented on “Atmospheric mercury and source attribution for Tampa”.  EOH’s Dr. Amy Stuart serves as the research director for the projects presented.
