| Monday Letter, Students

The International Health Service Collaborative (IHSC), an inter-professional student organization from the University of South Florida is traveling this summer to promote Sustainable Health projects in the community of Villas del Carmen in the Coclé province, Panama.
This unique organization will travel with 26 students from the colleges of Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy and Social Work from May 15th-22nd. The planned activities include medical attention, need assessment, health education, organization of the community, train the trainers programs, and water quality projects.
Furthermore, the organization has partnered with the local branch of the Health Ministry and the USF International Foundation in Panama creating new sites for exciting field experiences and further trips to the area.
IHSC has organized sustainable health projects in underserved communities in Ecuador, Dominican Republic and Panama.
We are sure their intervention will have a great impact in the Villas del Carmen!
