Damian Stanziano, PhD recently accepted an associate professor position with the University of Indianapolis Center on Aging and Community (CAC). His appointment begins this fall.
The CAC is comprised of faculty from all areas of gerontology and is well-known for its graduate program. The master of science in gerontology degree is designated as one of only three Programs of Merit by the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education and the only program that is delivered completely in an online format.
Prior to this appointment, Stanziano held posts with the Boca Raton Community Hospital, University of Miami Behavioral Medicine Research Center, and the Miami VA Healthcare System’s Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center.
Dr. Stanziano earned a doctorate in exercise physiology from the University of Miami. His areas of expertise include distance learning, physical performance, functional testing, and chronic disease risk reduction.
In May of 2012, Stanziano earned a master of public health degree in public health practice from the University of South Florida College of Public Health. He received the Certified in Public Health credential from the National Board of Public Health Examiners in July.
