My name is Shari Zamani and I am an undergraduate public health student at the University of South Florida. On November 6, I presented my research at the Delta Omega poster session during the American Public Health Association meeting in Atlanta.
In fact, I am the first and only undergraduate student ever to have presented in this capacity. It was an honor to represent USF and the College of Public Health.
Honestly, I never imagined I would even be here. When I was given the opportunity to obtain a higher education, I wasn’t sure if I could do it. I was intimidated to even take a tour of COPH–But, after speaking with a few alumni and academic advisors I was assured that I am in the right place. After my first orientation, I remember thinking to myself that this place feels like home already.
Without question, the COPH has helped me to succeed by providing valuable academic and financial support.
I invite you to think about your career path or the time when you were a student like me. If the college helped you in any small way to get where you are right now, then please consider making a year-end gift to support the next generation of public health professionals.
Your financial support allows the college to help students like me reach their full potential!
Whether you donate your time, talent or treasure, please give back. It will help propel students forward, because we are going to change the world!
Thank you for considering my request.
