The USF College of Nursing has announced The Emergent Nurse Leader Program, a program designed to prepare aspiring individuals for leadership roles in academic and practice settings.

This program is offered in collaboration with the Center for the Health Professions, University of California, San Francisco and the SREB Council on Collegiate Education for Nursing, Atlanta Georgia. The program is sponsored by the University of South Florida College of Nursing and the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing

The Emergent Nurse Leader Program is designed to permit registered nurses to engage in leadership development in their current positions and immediately begin applying the leadership concepts in practice. Goals of the program are: (1) to build a workforce of registered nurses prepared for leadership roles
in academic and clinical settings, (2) to provide individualized leadership development and (3) to engage nurse leaders in transformational change.
