Baccalaureate Nursing Graduates Excel Academically
Congratulations to Summer 2011 University of South Florida College of Nursing Baccalaureate Graduates!
The College of Nursing at the University of South Florida graduated 134 baccalaureate students this semester, and an unbelievable 31% of these students received University honors!
The College of Nursing awards graduating baccalaureate nursing students receiving University honors with a special “honors pin” with a charm that displays the level of academic honor obtained. This pin is in addition to the pin presented to students at the completion of their coursework to celebrate entry into the nursing profession.
Three students earning the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude, were selected by the USF Alumni Association to receive the King O’Neal Scholars Award at Commencement for their academic excellence, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Congratulations Kelsey Henretta, Sue Gibbs and Felicia Walker!
USF Nursing Alumni proudly wear their nursing pins, letting the community know that they are proud to be USF “Bull Nurses.”
Photos from the Pinning Ceremony will be available online through the USF Nursing Alumni and Friends Society website.
