Dear USF Health Research Community,
I invite you to join us on Friday, February 23, 2018 for 28th Annual USF Health Research Day! The annual event highlights the high-impact scholarly work of students, residents, fellows and postdoctoral students across USF Health as well as health-related collaborations with other USF colleges.
Featured speaker Francis McCormack, MD, professor of medicine and division director of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at the University of Cincinnati, will kick off the day’s activities at 8:15 a.m. with the Annual Roy H. Behnke, MD, Distinguished Lectureship titled “Silencing LAM: Science, Synergy and Serendipity.”
Poster judging will begin at 10 a.m., with a record number of 391 posters exhibited. Posters may be viewed from 9:30am to 3:30pm, with judging beginning at 10:00am. In addition, the 9th Annual Joseph Krzanowksi Invited Oral Presentations session will occur at 12-noon, which will feature research from 12 students representing the colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health and Pharmacy. The USF College of Nursing Dean’s Office and the USF Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program is pleased to host Ellen Flaherty, PhD, APRN, AGSF, who will present “Embedding Evidence-Based Geriatric Practices into Primary Care: The Geriatric Interprofessional Team Transformation in Primary Care (GITT-PC) Model” at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, in MDN 2005.
Dr. Flaherty is the Director of the Dartmouth Centers for Health and Aging at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and a past president of the American Geriatrics Society.
Coffee will be served at this event.
