Dr. Cindy Munro named ambassador of national research funding agency

Cindy Munro, PhD, RN, ANP-BC, FAAN, professor and associate dean for Research and Innovation at University of South Florida College of Nursing, has been named the Ambassador for Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research (FNINR). She is one of twelve healthcare leaders in the nation to receive this title.

In this role, Dr. Munro will educate policy makers about the importance of nursing research to help increase funding across the field’s spectrum. FNINR is a program created by National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) to help support nursing research.
