College of Nursing Doctoral Students Defend Dissertations

Three USF College of Nursing students recently defended their PhD dissertations and are on the road to earning their doctoral degrees in August.

Suzan Abduljawad, RN, MSN, defended her dissertation “Fatigue-Related Symptom Clusters and Their Relationship with Functional Status in Older Adult Hospice Patients with Cancer” on June 25.

Samia Dutra, MSN, RN, defended her dissertation “Adapting safeMedicate (Medication Dosage Calculation Skills Software) for Use in Brazil” on June 6.

Carissa Alinat, BA, BS, MS, ARNP, defended her dissertation “Genetic Moderation of Pain and Fatigue Symptoms Resulting from the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Breast Cancer Program” on June 12.
