Dr. Alicia Rossiter to serve in Jonas Center advisory council

Alicia Rossiter, DNP, military liaison and director for Veteran to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (VBSN) program at USF College of Nursing, was selected to serve in the Jonas Scholar Alumni Advisory Council.

Dr. Rossiter will join nine other nurse leaders from around the country to provide strategic direction and make key decisions for the new Jonas Scholar Alumni group. She has been selected to serve in the board for two years.

Dr. Rossiter recently received funding from the Jonas Center for Nursing and Veterans Healthcare to conduct research on health issues among women veterans including military sexual trauma, PTSD, disordered eating and sleeping. She was also the recipient of the 2012-2014 Jonas Veterans Healthcare Program Scholarship.

Jonas Center, funded by the Barbara Jonas Family Fund, helps advance the profession of nursing through grants and programs to advance innovative practice, scholarship, and produce outstanding faculty.
