Dr. Cindy Tofthagen named AAN fellow
Cindy Tofthagen, PhD, ARNP, AOCNP, FAANP, assistant professor and director of the oncology concentration at USF Nursing, was named fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
Dr. Tofthagen received the coveted award for demonstrating excellence in nursing research, education and clinical practice. She was one of 163 nurse leaders in the United States to be selected as a 2015 fellow. Dr. Tofthagen will be honored during the AAN’s annual policy conference on Oct. 17 in Washington D.C.
AAN is a national organization which helps advance policy and practice through the generation, synthesis, and dissemination of nursing knowledge. The organization has more than 2,300 nursing members from areas of education, management, practice, policy and research.
