Dr. Connie Visovsky named AAN fellow
Connie Visovsky, PhD, associate dean of faculty affairs and community engagement at USF Nursing, was elected a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN).
Dr. Visovsky received this recognition for her outstanding contributions to nursing research, education and clinical practice. She will officially receive the award on Oct. 22 at the AAN 2016 Transforming Health, Driving Policy Conference in Washington, DC.
Dr. Visovsky has transformed patients’ lives for almost 40 years in the areas of emergency, critical care and oncology. Her research focuses on chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy. She is currently working on a pilot study about women suffering with metastatic breast cancer.
AAN is a national organization which helps advance policy and practice through the generation, synthesis, and dissemination of nursing knowledge. The organization has more than 2,300 nursing members from areas of education, management, practice, policy and research.
