Dr. Denise Maguire wins award for research on drug addiction in pregnancy

Denise Maguire, PhD, RN, CNL, received the 2014 Manuscript of Exceptional Merit award for her research on Drug Addiction in Pregnancy: Disease Not Moral Failure.

Dr. Maguire’s manuscript, published in the Neonatal Network, explains pregnant women’s addictive behaviors while on drugs and identifies nursing interventions to impact positive outcomes.
