Dr. Rita D’Aoust completes AACN executive leadership program
Rita D’Aoust, PhD, ACNP, ANP-BC, CNE, FAANP, FNAP, associate professor and associate dean of academic affairs and interprofessional initiatives, recently completed the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) – Wharton Executive Leadership Program. Dr. D’Aoust was one of 40 leaders in the country to graduate from the leadership development experience.
AACN, in collaboration with Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, offers this program to nursing leaders from a wide range of healthcare institutions and programs to help them succeed as leaders, patient advocates and interprofessional partners.
AACN is a national voice for universities and four-year college education programs. The organization helps set the standards and provide resources to develop the leadership capacity of member schools to advance nursing education, research, and practice. Dr. D’Aoust officially graduated from the program in August 2015.
