Dr. Versie Johnson-Mallard Named Fellow of American Academy of Nursing
Versie Johnson-Mallard, PhD, MSN, MSMS, associate professor for USF College of Nursing, has been named Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN). She was honored with the award for her accomplishments in clinical practice, research and education.
AAN is an organization which serves the public and the nursing profession to advance health through development and distribution of nursing knowledge. The organization is comprised of more than 2,200 nurse leaders in education, management, practice, policy and research.
Dr. Johnson-Mallard was nominated by Nancy Fugate Woods, PhD, RN, FAAN, professor and emeritus dean at the University of Washington School of Nursing, and Loretta Sweet Jemmott, PhD, FAAN, RN, van Ameringen professor and director of the center for health disparities research at University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
She will be inducted with the award during the AAN’s 2014 Transforming Health, Policy Conference on October 16 through October 18 in Washington D.C.
