Faculty and Students Attend Grant Proposal Writing Workshop
Nursing faculty, Linda Steele and Cindy Tofthagen as well as master’s student Pam Lozano and doctoral student, Michelle Offut attended the USF Summer Grant Proposal Writing Workshops, provided by the USF Office of Research.
This successful 10 week training series walks research faculty through the proposal writing and peer review process. The end product for many of the participating faculty is a competitive proposal that is ready for submission. Over the past 7 years, the USF Office of Research and Innovation has invested up to $40K a year for the program. The return on investment is reflected in the 627 compelling proposals submitted, totaling well over $174 million in competitive proposals, which has yielded 235 awards with over $49 million in award dollars.
Upon completion of the workshop faculty will receive a Recognition Award for Successful Completion, $500 in RIA for submitting a proposal, and $500 matching award if proposal funded.
