Fall 2009 “Path of Light” Convocation Ceremonies

The USF College of Nursing Alumni and Friends Society invites you to attend the Alumni Path of Light Convocation Ceremonies in the USF Health Auditorium on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 3:30pm for Master’s and Doctoral and at 4:30pm for Baccalaureate.

You are invited to attend our inaugural Path of Light during the 3:30pm Master’s/Doctoral and 4:30pm Baccalaureate Convocations, and we hope that you join us for one or both of the ceremonies.  Please also join alumni and family prior to the Convocations for a reception in the College of Nursing Gathering Space beginning at 3:00 p.m. To RSVP visit http://nursing.usfhealthalumni.net

Alumni will lead the procession holding lighted candles and will form an aisle through which the fall class of 2009 will pass on their way to their seats.  Alumni will be seated on stage and be an integral part of the closing of the Convocations.  Do not miss the opportunity to witness this new tradition and to show your pride as a part of the USF College of Nursing. This tradition is based on the nickname “the Lady with the Lamp” earned by Florence Nightingale for her dedication toward the welfare of her patients by tending the sick through the night.
