Marian Hardwick, USF Nursing second degree baccalaureate program graduate and current PhD student, was featured in Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) New Careers In Nursing (NCIN)’s November Newsletter for being one of three scholars in the nation to speak in a student panel on “Career Advancement for the Accelerated Nursing Student” during the RWJF NCIN Annual Summit.

During the summit, Hardwick and other scholars shared helpful information about how to move through the NCIN program and how to determine whether to pursue an advanced degree.

Hardwick is currently working on a psychiatric unit at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital while pursuing her PhD at the USF College of Nursing.

NCIN annual meetings engage grantees from across the country to explore best practices and new approaches to strengthen their accelerated degree programs and increase the pipeline of students traditionally underrepresented in nursing, according to the NCIN Summit web site.
