January 2012 Graduate Student recipient: Jodi DeVries
Jodi DeVries, a student registered nurse anesthetist (SRNA) and the Vice President of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists Foundation (SRNAF), has participated in preparing for many upcoming events that the SRNAF will be involved with, including CRNA Week information booths in the College of Nursing gathering space and Marshall Center, SRNAF fundraisers for student activities, preparing 240 appreciation goodie bags for local CRNAs at all 12 of our area clinical sites, preparing the first SRNAF Newsletter, and assisting with SRNAF Facebook page maintenance.
On Saturday, January 14, 2012 Jodi participated in USF’s Stampede of Service 2012. As Vice President of SRNAF, Jodi is always seeking out opportunities to make a positive difference in her program, USF, and the surrounding community. As a site leader at the Stampede of Service, Jodi was part of a team that set out to beautify the streets around USF by collecting trash. Jodi described this experience as a fulfilling moment as the community witnessed a “herd of Bulls” walking along the roadway to keep the USF community beautiful.
