Keane Receives Graduate Student of the Month Community Service Award
The USF College of Nursing Student of the Month Community Service Award is given monthly and recognizes students who volunteer in the community outside of their nursing program requirements. The College wants to recognize those students who make the effort and take time to give back to the community.
March 2011 Graduate Student recipient: Stephanie Keane
Stephanie provided emergency medical services to those individuals attending church. Her service allows the members of the church a sense of peace if an emergency or non-emergency situation. She provides care to infants, children, youth, and adults including elderly. From a band-aid or a wheelchair ride to a syncope episode, Stephanie and the other EMS staff is educated and prepared to assist the patient whatever situation arises.
Also as the campus coordinator, she is responsible for recruiting new members, creating month schedules, and maintaining inventory.
