Lengacher and team win APOS outstanding poster award

Cecile A. Lengacher, RN, PhD, FAAN, Professor and Director of the BS-PhD Program at the University of South Florida College of Nursing, and her research team won the outstanding poster award after presenting at the American Psychological Oncology Society’s (APOS) 9th Annual Conference on Feb 23-25 in Miami, Fla.

Cecile A. Lengacher, PhD, MSN, BSN, RN, Professor and Director of the BS-PhD Program at the University of South Florida College of Nursing, and Nursing team won the outstanding poster award after presenting at the American Psychological Oncology Society’s (APOS) 9th Annual Conference on Feb 23-25 in Miami, Fla.

Lengacher and the team won the award for the poster on Improving Quality of Life in Breast Cancer Survivors: The Cost-Effectiveness of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction [MBSR] (BC).

The APOS annual conference is designed to improve translation of research to practice in psychological oncology, bringing together researchers and practitioners to develop, test, and implement innovative approaches to psychological supportive care for people undergoing cancer treatment, according to APOS’s web site.
